What if???

You know sometimes I have the weirdest thoughts. I was thinking today - well actually I was trying not to think and then that icky, creepy nagging about my job security reared its ugly head and well… hence the weird thoughts.
Anyway, I was thinking what if I went home and did whatever it is I do to entertain myself until bedtime and then I went to sleep AND when I woke up in the morning - the whole world was changed. I mean totally, completely and utterly changed. What would that be like? Would I still exist? Would anyone know my name? Would anyone know anyone’s name? What language would we be speaking?
Would it be a wonderful opportunity for the world to get a second chance? To do things right this time? To have only honest politicians, caring teachers, fair cost of goods? One universal language? Peace on Earth? Would it even be called Earth?Would there be a totally different gravitational pull?
Maybe fat would be beatiful - of course with my luck if that were the case, I’d probably be skinny - but still. What if?
What if men had to give birth to the next generation and had pms? What if women really did have balls? My goodness the possibilities are endless. It could be a really fun, whacky place.
Or…we could all wake up with bar codes on our necks whilst being scanned by giant gila monsters.
Interesting idea though, huh?
What would your world be like if you could wake up and make it anything you wanted?

i think the one change i’d like to see men give birth…be worth the risk of humanity dying out within one generation…oh! and have to go through a pap smear and a breast xray…and i like to be able to pee standing up behind a bush..i could try now but standing up to have a shot with the boys would be a bit messy…honest politicians would be good, no war, no disease, all those things, but i think it would be really interesting to find out we actually lived in a matrix…who knows…maybe we already do! maybe those little green men people rabbit on about actually control what happens here? and i have to say if that’s the case we need to rebel pretty damned soon!

maybe it’s like the whole men in black thing where elvis didn’t die, he just went home? bloody hell, the possibilities are endless woman…i’m not going to sleep tonight
LOL! Welcome to my world dearie.
If men had to start giving birth, humanity would likely be extinct within just a few generations!
Your graphic image reminded me of this cool “if a meteor hits Earth” Japanese video.
That was a cool vid! A little scary too.
Yes, mankind would become extinct pretty quick if it were left up to men - I’m afraid I’d have to agree. But they are really good at barbecue so I suppose it’s a fair trade off.

Now you have me wondering what you do to entertain yourself until bedtime.

LOL! I’m pretty sure you don’t want to go there. hehehehehehehehe
My wife says I wake up in a new world everyday. Why just this morning I woke up and found I was gone. Damn I hate it when I do that. Fortunately after a couple phone calls I found a friend that saw me standing on the corner doing nothing. I asked me just what in the hell I thought I was doing and I replied to my self that I was tired of me sleeping in so late so I got up and left me sleeping while I went out for a cup of coffee.
PoliTech is correct……As for men having babies, sorry but that ain’t gonna happen with me no matter what. First of all, this body was made for giving not recieving in the initial processes of procreation. Second I have had my upper lip pulled over the front of my forhead pulled back to my ears twice by women giving birth. That combined with being renamed the spawn of Satan during those blessed events I know I would not enjoy the joys of birthing as it were. Left up to me, humantiy is doomed.
I know some women that have balls. Their husbands. But I digress.
Happy New Year
I’ll be back blogging soon.
Hey Squawky! Happy New Year to you and Mrs. Squawky and to your alter-self. I’ll be glad to see you back blogging. I’ve been pretty lazy and wiped out myself. Hopefully this weekend I’ll get my shit together.

To have only honest politicians, caring teachers, fair cost of goods? One universal language? Peace on Earth? Would it even be called Earth?
That’s heaven, isn’t it?
As far as women having balls, I know a few that already do…

Well I don’t know if that is Heaven - I think Heaven is a little more spiritual than that.
But it certainly would be an ideal existence, wouldn’t it?
Yes, I know a few women with balls too - but I hear the surgery is a bitch.

I would have to say your description–honest politicians, caring teachers, fair cost of goods, one universal language and Peace on Earth would be Heaven on Earth– saturate the material world with some of those spiritually constructive attributes.
Heaven itself I imagine as a much more wispy and ethereal existence, totally lacking in the harsh, forceful and imposing solidity that we bulldoze our way through every day here on Planet Earth.
Creating a universe. What a fun idea you came up with. I would get out my painter’s brush and create a pallete of beautiful colors, an aesthetic dream where people are happy and having fun, full of adventures, but not the kind of adventures that tear your head off or where Tyrannosaurus Rex is rounding the corner looking for lunch either.
Better yet, I would build a universe that endowed you with flexibility to zoom from universe to universe, visiting other people’s created worlds and enjoying endless variety. You would never have to fear getting stuck in one world and being unable to travel to the next–kind of like when you’re having a nightmare and you say to yourself, “Enough of this crap–I’m outa here” and you wake up.
Oh yes, and the super human abilities like flying, teleporting, shape-shifting, telepathy, etc. would all be innate. Universes would be protected from the inherently evil, oppressive characters who would be depowered of their ability to destroy. Their enforced punishment would be that they could only unleash their destruction in their own created worlds. Then they would be forced to take responsibility for their annihilations without innocent people falling victim. If by some error you landed in an evil world and realized your mistake, through the mere thought of being somewhere else, you would find yourself there.
So there’s a start in answering your question, which makes me realize we’re back to making the best of what we’ve got. While limited, we do have a lot of freedom to make our lives the way we want them to be, at least in our own heads and sometimes in other people’s too.

Wow PG, I had no idea this would even get a comment, much less such inspired thinking. It sounds to me like you have a nice synopsis for a futuristic book right here in your comments. I’d like to see you do something with it.
